Hello.. I'm in the final stages of buying a 2011 Fleetwood Expedition 38b for our family of 5 to go extended cruising across the country... Are we making the right decision on manufacturer and model? Does anyone know of any issues we should be aware of? thanks very much!!

I would say yes, we have our best family time in the motorhome and we cant think of any better way to travel with the family and see the country.
We have a Fleetwood Providence 40X and fewer kids than you but the whole family agrees the motorhome is the best.
P.S. remember ALL new motorhomes will have a few bugs to work out, ours were easy ones for the most part.

We bought a 2011 Discovery 40G in April and absolutely loved it. Great quality and value for the money. Could not ask for better customer service and support from Fleetwood regarding questions I had, etc.

Last week we traded the 40G for a 2012 Discovery 42a for the extra bath and rear bunk. I sure wish we would've done it to begin with. By the way we are also a family of 5.

Send me a PM and maybe you can give me a call and I will give you some more detailed thoughts. If you are not at the top end of your budget i would really look into at least a 40ft because of the size of your family. But as for the company, you will not be disappointed with Fleetwood.
