I'm not feeling well this week, so maybe my perspective is a little off here. But it seems to me that this fellow is trying to perform a service to the community here and he is taking it on the chin for doing so. Some of you need to back off.

Hope you feel better. Haven't seen anything that bothers me so far.

We may be passing through there again this April, on our way from Hot Springs AR to Atlanta. I'll wave at ya.

First - we love our Discovery. Second, thanks Brian, for taking this on.
I have to agree on the fact that quality control needs to do a far better job of catching "things" before the coach is delivered, and the new owner has to do the QC job. We encountered lots of "small issues", but one BIG one - the driver's side cabinets were not attached to the wall studs, causing the entire cabinet set to pull away from the wall. Scary. Fleetwood stood up to this, and wrote a check to cover the costs of the repairs. They didn't cover the 400 miles trip to a dealer to have it done and stay in a local hotel. And yes, it would be nice to have an extension of the warranty when things like this happen.
I will give recognition to La Mesa in Albuquerque, who helped resolve all these issues - great folks to work with.

I have a '09 Eagle, the step cover is slower than molasses. My '99 step cover seemed to be hydraulic, it closed very quickly with a flip of a toggle, the '09 must be electric and has a switch you must hold. It makes a lot of moaning sounds going in and out. Any advise what to look for and/or can the motor or mechanism be changed? Not big enough deal to take it back to Indiana. Thanks.

When are they going to give us more light full-body paint options? Black/dark colors are too hard to keep clean & absorb heat making it harder to keep the interior cool when it's hot out/we're parked in sun.
When are they going to start putting TV's in lifts like Newmar does? Not all of us like to look at a big black box when it's not in use & we don't like a TV that disappears behind a closed slide.
I'm sure I'll think of more, but that's it for now.
Not to be all negative, so thank them for the FMA rallies. FW treats their customers well at these. I always look forward to attending them.

I'm also with Lori on the floor plan updates needed. Our next coach will have something similar to a Newmar floor plan we saw in Tampa - a couple of very comfortable lazyboy style chairs looking directly across at a large TV, on a lift, on the opposite side of the living room (directly in front of me).
We love the colors of our rig and get many compliments. I see other A/C rigs of similar vintage and older with a similar color pallet. Since we bought ours they seem to be trending toward the darker colors. We will not be ordering a dark colored coach when the time comes. The same goes for the interior wood colors.
While we're on the subject of wood - the amount of it is overwhelming. I think a simple thing like eliminating the 6" wood "frame" around the slide out perimeter would go a long way toward relieving the "wood shop overload".

Got just a second this morning with the rep before she had to start training with our sales staff. Anyways, they are introducing new interior wood called Toffee and she said it is much lighter.
Don't know if this has been discussed yet, but a new model is being introduced in the American Coach line. Think she said it is going to be called Allegiance and will be between Revolution and Tradition and is meant to compete with Dutch Star.
Will post more info as I get it.

We seem to have the same type of step cover mechanism.... an electric motor driven slide step. Mine started to slow down and bind at times. I cleaned the aluminum tracks on which it slides along the side and sprayed those with silicone. I also sprayed the long rod with teeth under the cover with a good spray lube and it now works as smooth as silk.

Was talking with another A/C owner this morning. Suggest they reverse the floor plan. Put the full wall slide on the passenger side so we can fully enjoy a nice big awning.

They may be getting closer with the MSRP, but AC's got a long ways to go with that competition thing. DS has it sewn up with 13 floorplans, including a wheelchair friendly version. When AC

Why does Fleetwood use woodgrain applique on the crown mouldings used on Bounder models? On my 2010 Bounder, the applique is coming off in the bedroom, in the rear bath and the living room above the slide.
