Fleetwood battery box

Anyone else have their batteries under the entry steps?

How would you charge them using solar panels and controller.

Where would you be able to attach to the battery terminals without interfering with your step access?

Thx, Rb

The wires run in from the back (chassis) side, not the outer (step) side. Just like the rest of the wires to/from the batteries.

I had a Southwind 37c, 2004. We left the 2 batteries under the step and added two more batteries in the storage container just left of the steps.

Hope this helps.

I have two batteries under the steps. Plenty of access to gets wires to them from behind and the sides. I also added two additional batteries in a storage bay on the opposite side of the coach. This bay near the refrigerator. I brought solar wiring down the refrigerator vent to this added pair of batteries. Was about as easy as it could be.
