Fleetwood Flair Backup Camera

Would like to know if anyone has any advice. Have a 2006 31A Flair and the monitor for the backup camera has gone out. Repair shop said that camera is no longer available and a new different one was ordered and the wiring harness does not fit. Now they want to rewire the whole unit and it will cost circa $1600.00! Plus, the GS extended service warranty does NOT cover!!! HELP please!

Howdy and welcome to iRV2! There are several previous threads in the forum about camera replacement. Here are a few to get you started... https://www.google.com/search?q=back...earch=irv2.com

I'm pretty sure you can buy a replacement monitor without new wiring! Good luck to you.

Search google with the brand name and model number. I suspect you'll find replacements. Most dealers don't want to put any extra effort in to a parts search. I was able to find both OEM camera and OEM monitor for my 95 Bounder.

Is the problem with the monitor or the camera?

+1 on checking for the make/model of the monitor and camera. My 07 Fleetwood Southwind camera packed it in a few months back.

My system is a Weldex and the camera is model # P3057B. It is still available through RV Cams new. It was replaced through my extended warranty at no cost to me.

If yours is not covered I would be looking at a comparable one and installing yourself. It took about 10 minutes to unplug my camera....

No kidding!

$1600 is absurd!

I replaced my monitor and stuffed some thin copper wire into the barrels of the connectors at both ends and it's worked fine since.

It it's a Weldex the monitors are notoriously bad. Mine had several bad solder joints.
