The converter in our 2009 Fleetwood Jamboree Sport 31N went out. We thought at first the house batteries had gone bad so we replaced them. The man who was changing them out for me accidently hooked the batteries up backwards. We corrected that within a few minutes. But it obviously has tripped a breaker or burned something out somewhere.

We replaced the converter with a new one but now have no power to the slides, the entry step, parts of the monitor panel won't light up when checking various things like the gray tank, black tank, lp, main batteries, etc.

We call ourself as having checked all of the fuses but can't figure this out.

We are wondering if there might be another breaker somewhere that could have tripped.

Any help greatly appreciated.

There is a breaker on the generator. And I am sure that you checked the battery disconnect. Contact Fleetwood owner relations.

Thank you for the reply. I will check the breaker on the generator. We are working with Fleetwood also but thought I would seek help here also.

Somehow your new batteries aren't powering the coach. 12v power is usually fuse protected rather than breakers, so look for a main fuse. Or for a wire that was left off when you had the batteries replaced.

Could also be that the battery disconnect relay got knocked out, or that the separate wire that powers the relay is disconnected. It probably also has an inline fuse in that wire, so check that.

okay, thank you for your reply. Things like the a/c, lights, microwave are all working. The slideout which is actually operated using the engine battery, the steps, and parts of the monitor panel are what is not working. The monitor panel may just appear to not be working due to electric probes for those things like the tanks, etc not reading properly. The engine battery is fine though.
