Sweet, Brian! Where did you mount the undercarriage lights & did you enclose them in protective tubes? We're thinking of doing the same & protecting them with those plastic florescent tube light covers I saw at HD. Thought those might keep the tape-style lights from getting nicked by road debris.

Cleaned the chassis rails, put a thin bead of silicone the length of the light run, waited for the silicone to tack up, removed the tape backing, and pressed the lights into the silicone. Didn't put the protective tubes on. So far about three thousand miles with no problems.

A stop at Home Depot solved the issue.

Samsung 197 is on order and the Norcold is out of the cabinet sitting on the kitchen floor.

Looks like it will require some work to gain some height but will be a great addition when we begin FT.
Be sure to take some pics for us!!

I think it is one of the best and cheapest improvements I have ever made.
Great idea!

Good job! I need to take a look at our latches and see what we've got.

Wow, what an improvement, Lori! And I know you appreciate the extra storage space in the bedroom. Get those pics of your new shades, girl!! I'll be on the lookout for your hose reels; this is something we need to do, too.

Don't those LEDs make a huge difference?? I can't believe how cool they are compared to the OEM bulbs. Of course, Fleetwood is putting LEDs in from the factory now. I am green with envy over your RV port!!

Cool upgrades!! I really like the custom mats but I don't want to spend the $$$. Where is the rail mounted for the sewer hose?

I was shopping for a string of LED lights to attach underneath our awning, but I found these and decided to buy them instead. I also bought a dimmer switch for them; they can handle up to 60 watt bulbs...but I don't want our RV to look like an international airport landing strip.

Below the back storage bay on each side. I also put 4" gutter inside with a handle to pull everything out. I can store 2 hoses in it.

Sarah,

I really like those. Over the years we have been given ones that have everything from MH's to tobasco bottles, and not our style. How much did yours cost and where did you get them?

I found them in several places online, including Camping World. Of course, I found the best price on Amazon! Amazon.com: Polymer Products LLC 1632-77404-PRE Black and Etched Bronze Six Globe String Light Set: Home Improvement

I paid about $82 though I found them as expensive as $150.

They are heavy duty, and have coiled cord between each fixture so they can be spaced to fit on just about any awning. They company that makes them (in the USA!) offers lots of colors in replacement globes, including holidays and sports teams.

I always liked those - they're very classy, not cheezy like most awning lights. They're kinda hard to find, but you can get dimmable LED bulbs (same socket as incandescent) to go in those. We recently found dimmable LED's at Lowe's to go in the paddle fans in our S&B. They aren't the funky looking base bulbs, they actually look like regular incandescent bulbs.

Ok, here's the electric/hose reels:

The place where the cord connected was a teeny-tiny 6"w x 12"h cubby with no way to coil a 50a cord in there for storage:

So we stored it in the bottom of the utility bay, under where the tank pipe came out (yuk!). The potable water hose/fittings would be stored in a covered bin beside it:

We had a guy install the reels in the bay just in front of the utility bay. He reinforced the bay ceiling with plywood to hold the reels. This gets them up off the bay floor so we can have a bin or 2 to store the water hose fittings, Clorox wipes, paper towels or whatever.
