Fleetwood RV, now based in Decatur, Ind., may only have 650 jobs to offer -- but so far 1,000 have applied, according to a story from the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette reprinted on
RVbusiness.com.
And those jobs are likely to pay 10 percent less now that American Industrial Partners owns the company, according to the story.
Meanwhile, Fleetwood Industries in Riverside will accept bids for its manufactured housing division until Aug. 4. If it gets bids above the $28.9 million already offered by Cavco Industries and an investor (it didn't get overbids for its RV division), the company's housing plants would be auction on Aug. 7.
Does this mean they will cost less to buy?
