Fleetwood Pace Arrow electrical
2000 Pace Arrow
At some time in the past the power input was changed from 30A to 50A.
As I started experimenting with the outlets, AC, etc., I found that on Generator most of my 120v outlets don't work. Both AC units work.
Opened the electrical compartment over the fridge to see if I could figure out what was done when they upgraded to 50A.
The generator does not provide two 120v circuits, so when the transfer switch engages it only switches one leg to generator. Makes sense, but not having the outlet in the bedroom work may require a rewire for that outlet.
Found 3 items in this compartment that I don't know what they are.
Any ideas what these are?

I have a 1998 Pace Arrow. I need help ensuring my battery wiring is configured correctly between the main & two auxiliary batteries. Do you have any diagrams or photos thy shows your wiring arrangement on your 2000 model?
Thanks,
Gregg

Top is a 120 volt outlet box. They don't strip the wires and screw them down. They simply slit the outer cover over the three wires, pull the cover back three inches, Jam the wires into the cutters and the cutters cut through the insulation on the wires and make contact. then they squeeze the outlet together and you have a 120 volt outlet. middle is slideout control box. I can't see the bottom good enough to make out what it is.

egscot, sorry but no diagrams for anything.
ga traveler, the top one does have the shape of an outlet box, but other side is blank. This side is what would be inside the wall.
Slideout control, cool!
Bottom is weird, I'll try to get a better pic tomorrow & trace wires.
Thanks for responding!

Bottom one possibly a cutout relay? Wires running to the backside appear to be 120VAC romex. Perhaps to cut power to TV if trans in gear?

The bottom one is the transfer switch that allows the running of both air conditioners from the generator. It was necessary when the coach was still a 30amp coach. I suspect that it is still active and still required. Your generator is probably a 5K Onan with two 120vac outputs. The 30amp output feeds the main coach via the main transfer switch, and the 20amp output activates the transfer switch to run only the main air unit.
The operation of that switch is explained in this manual.

Old Bounder, Thanks for the manual!! I suspect you are correct about the transfer switch. Will test this afternoon.

Incorrect, it's a relay. Old Blunder nailed it on this one.

I had a 1993 Pace Arrow Diesel Pusher that I had to figure out what did what (no manuals). Lots of fun!
