I am sure there were Sarah, but honestly he pointed out so many different coaches the names all ran together for me.
One thing he did point out was that mid year 16 they stopped putting anything but residential fridges in their motor homes. Includes my little Storm. Of course this means they must all have inverters right?

One would assume so. Doesn't your Storm have an inverter? Our Bounder has a 1200 watt inverter and we have used it twice in 4 years. Of course we have a Dometic fridge.
And our paint is gorgeous, except for those tree branch oops. Most of that buffed out, though.

I will be more than likely jumping ship in December. We want to make the jump to a tag axle, and there are now three coaches as finalists. Newmar, Tiffin, and yes, Entegra.
Since this is about paint jobs, my Bounder must have been a good day/month/year because I have no complaints. The same can't be said from what I have seen and heard for at least a year now.
Will I still be allowed to visit here when I make the jump? Damn, I am making the jump, and work at one of those dirty dealerships. That can't be good, can it?

You know that Lori and I can't resist ganging up on you, Brian. Ooooh, a tag... movin' on up!! So did I read that your dealership stopped carrying Fleetwood? (I was surprised to see that MHSRV started carrying them!)
I hate to hear of people's issues with the newer Fleetwoods and poor quality across the entire industry. These paint problems are totally unacceptable on any model.
Thankfully, our Fleetwood experience has been a good one; in 4 years we have had very few issues with our Bounder. Each time we have looked at new RVs we have come home saying we didn't see anything we would trade ours for.

Wow, that sounds awful. If I were you, I'd make the trek to the factory and have that made right. The Discovery is a beautiful coach.

I have to say that overall my experience with FW has been positive. My issues have been relatively few and pretty simple. The only flaws I have found in my paint have been way up on the top of the front fiberglass cap where the only one seeing them is either on a tall ladder or on the roof. I will hit that with the buffer yet this summer and clean it up. I actually paid a mobile detailing guy to buff and wax it this simmer that only charged me $150 which I thought was a steal.
No my Storm did not come with an inverter, and frankly the only thing i might use it for is a laptop or the microwave. For my DW's laptop we have a small portable inverter so it isn't a big deal. Now if we had a res fridge it would be a big deal but we don't.

No - was not me. It is most likely from the factory - but could have been a cover-up done at the dealership. We bought this coach at an RV show.

Unless we were being fed a line, most likely the dealer.

Not factory! That's a dirty dealer trick! The factory guys and girls have a whole different set of tricks.

Fleetwood has approved 18 hrs for paint repair under warranty. I talked with Fleetwood and found that it is unusual for a paint repair to need 18 hr. That just shows the extent of the damage. Fleetwood offered to do it at Decatur, but the dealer had already started. We will never know who did the damage, but if you saw it, you would have a hard time believing it was that bad from the factory. Bottom line - it is getting fixed. Fleetwood made it very clear - if I have additional problems with the paint or anything else - bring it to Decatur and they will fix everything. Their Customer Service did give me a "warm fuzzy" feeling. LOL

Did you notice the damage before you took possession?

WOW! That's quite an allotment. Good question posted by Tim Myers? We're these problems not evident at Your PDI? There had to be obvious visuals. Glad FW is backing the issue, best wishes as these problems are time consuming and a pain not just in the "neck"!

Yes - these were noted and very much photographed by the dealer at delivery. However, I was the one who found them (and other issues) - not the dealer. That is sad since they were so obvious. This is a nationwide dealership that should not allow these issues to ever occur.

I agree, Nationwide use to mean something, like successful, client oriented, not so in today's world. I read an article regarding warranty work published by RVDA, dealers are going broke performing warranty work. Little to no return from the manufactures. They are loosing all their top RIVA tech's or assigning the warranty work to entry level tech's. Makes you feel warm and fuzzy huh? Bet the last name of the dealer rhymes with "Mesa?" As in La?
