Fleetwood Revolution storage bay latch broke

I can't get a storage bay open since a latch broke on a 2003 Revolution 40C. It is next to the rear tire and I can't work thru an adjacent door. The paddle moves easily, but the rear latch snapped. Any help would be appreciated. I have had a long screw driver suggested.
Thanks.

Yes a long screw driver or any long flat blade that you can work into the latch on the end of the door. These are made of plastic and break off quite regularly. Determine which end of the door is broken and then push back the plastic angled piece to release the door. These are easy to change out once you get the door open . You will need to remove the 4 screws holding the center release handle. There are long rods that go to each end of the door that connecto to the release latch mechanism. Remove the rod that goes to the broken latch. The latch has 2 screws that hold it to the side of the door. After you have the 2 screws out, you can pull the latch out (may need your screwdrive to pry) and the long rod will come with it. Pay attention to the orientation to the rod and put on the new latch in the same orientation. Threading the rod back to the center release mechanism is not that hard so don't fret. I bought 3 latches from Camping Connections in Kissimmee FL for about $35.00. I have one to replace now and will carry 2 spares from now on. I broke 2 on my recent trip so that is the reason for carrying spares. After these run out I'm going to purchase metal ones that I found at RB Machine @ 661-274-1966.
I'm assuming that your Revolution is the same as my Discovery! Hope this helps!

You can also purchase the latch system from CW. I had one not break but just wear out. Keeping sprayed often with silicone prevented this issue, good luck!

I bought the aluminum latch repair kits from RB machine. They are quality made and easy to rebuild the old latch. You can also buy a new latch assy.

You can push that side in, and if you have something you can get in there, pull out the broken latch, it will fall to the ground. I had to do this last week when I broke one.
