One of my motorhome’s factory fog lights broke last year. My Providence is 13 years old, so I knew it would be difficult to locate an OE replacement. To make matters worse, the factory fender cut-out as well as the lights themselves are a cats eye shape.
It was no surprise when my Fleetwood dealer said they were no longer available. I searched the Internet high and low and could find nothing that would fit the cats eye opening without looking out of place.
Several months ago, I came across an ad in one of my RV magazines (I don’t recall which one) for Veurink’s RV. The ad stated that they stock many discontinued Fleetwood parts. I sent them an email asking if they had my lights. They wrote back and asked for a photo of the light, along with my VIN and/or Fleetwood ID number. After sending it to them, I was elated when they said they had them in stock. I ordered two lights since my lights looked aged, and they were indeed direct OE replacements.
Last week, I noticed that one of my surface mounted rear fender marker/ turn signal lights was cracked.
Once again, I searched the Internet high and low, just to find that the company that manufactured the lights went out of business. I located several lights that were the same size, but they were not surface mounted, so they would have required me to cut openings in the rear motorhome fenders - not something I wanted to do. I contacted Veurink’s again, and once again they had them.
If you own an older or discontinued Fleetwood, I highly suggest you make note of
Veurink’s. They saved me a major headache. Some of you may have heard of them already, but they were new to me.
Happy travels!
