Fridge on 35k will not run on electricity

Went to fire up fridge to cool it down for our trip to Florida. Turned it on in the auto position and it won't switch over to electric and only runs on LP. The coach is plugged in to our usual 30 amp circuit at home. All other outlets and appliances are working however the outlet on the back of the fridge has no power. I have checked the breakers, gfi's and everything else I can think of. I have electric heaters running in the coach and they work as well. OHHH......

The answer just came to me as I was typing. I just went out to the rv, shut down the fireplace and the electric heater I have running and magically the fridge came to life. The electric heater and fireplace were using enough power that the energy management system shed the fridge. Problem solved!

Glad you figured it out. When something isn't working on electric on ours, the EMS is the 1st place I check.

When on 30a (or 20a), the EMS takes the guess work out of figuring out what you can & can't run. I think you'll really like having one.

Huh. I would have thought it would shed outlets, and fireplace before the refridgerator .

The EMS is designed to first convert any dual supply appliances (those that run on either LP or electric) to LP, THEN shed others.

Here's a photo of ours. It'll shed from top down.

On Edit: This is how the EMS works on a Fleetwood RV. It may be different for another brand of EMS on another brand of RV. The OP owns a Fleetwood Bounder.
