I have a 2000 37' Discovery which I recently bought back in So. Carolina. I drove it across country to Reno, NV pulling a Jeep Grand Cherokee. My fuel milage averaged 8.8 miles per gallon. I took it into Cummins and had them go through it and replace all filters, lube, etc. When I took it on a 1000 mile trip recently, I still only got 9.0 MPG. I only drive between 55 and 60 MPH. My last MH was a 2000 Winnebago Journey with the same engine and got 11.6 MPG. This MH is only 1' longer. Anybody got any suggestions?

We had a 2000 37V Discovery with the Cummins. If you drove nice it would get 9.5. average about 8.7 - 9.2. If you got the big foot went way down.

Think your mileage is about on the mark. I have a 5.9 300 hp in a 35 ft Phaeton. I get about 10 avg and have seen 12 on the computer if I am really watching the foot.
Gets about 9 towing. All are around 55 to 60 mph.

If you CAN believe a computer----when mine was checked by the Freightliner dealer it showed mpg at 10.12. When it gets low on fuel I put in $300.00 and go on down the road.

remember a head wind or a tail wind can make a difference as well

I am talking about a 2800 mile trip...lots of headwinds, tailwinds & crosswinds. 8.8 was my average MPG and this wasn't figured on a computer.
