Question FWS Locks

Does anyone know when and why Fleetwood started installing the locks on the full wall slide?

Why wouldn't they? They are on my 26' FWS. Imagine it coming out going around a corner!

We had a 5th wheel a few years ago and the biggest of the four slides tilted out from the bottom going around a corner. Would not have happened with the locks at the top. The rest of the story is that when we got back on the straight road, it did not return to being closed... and can of veggies had fallen off and slipped under the slide keeping it from going back down.
