Good service from Fleetwood

Last Sunday I experienced a nightmare we all hope will never happen. When I tried to retract the main slide on my 2018 Southwind 36p it would not come in. The motors were running but the slide was stuck in the out position.

I had to be at another destination that evening and there were no service companies in the area to call to help. There are four slides on the coach with different manufacturers. The manual that came with the coach was generic and not much help for my specific problem.

Fortunately with the help of a friend I was able to locate a binding bracket under one side of the slideout and was able to repair it with a crowbar.

I later sent an e-mail to Fleetwood technical support to get advice on what I should do should I ever have a slideout failure in the future. A representative promptly got back to me and sent me detailed troubleshooting manuals for all of the slides on the coach. She also gave me a phone number for technical support to call if I ever needed advice.

I thought this was good service on the part of Fleetwood and will help if I ever need to troubleshoot the system again.

Glad to hear this. I had an 08 Fleetwood and always enjoyed good customer service as well.
You might want to share those technical support #’s so others will have them if the need arises.
Thanks for the post.

I've had nothing but great service anytime I emailed or called them. Always quick to help on the phone or send plans by email. BTW, can you share the ph# with us?
