Okay folks I did a Stupid one, I left one of the sink covers off and on top of the sink. While in transit,,,,guess what,,,yep slid off and onto the floor. While it went down the front cabinet the square corner sunk into the wood flooring leaving about a dime sized gouge in the floor.
Now the magic question,,, how do I repair the floor?
Are there professionals out there that fix that so that it is sight unseen?
I'm not a happy camper right now!!!!

Did it take a chunk out or just dent it? If a chunk is missing you MIGHT be able to find another piece of wood and replace it. If it's a dent you MIGHT be able to steam it out with and iron and damp cloth.
I am in the process of putting a new 32" Samsung LCD TV in our MH. I knocked the new (about one month old) Samsung over, it fell almost out the door and left a gouge in the face. Enough that it shows totally white in a black background and black in a white background. Just bought another Samsung from Costco for $389.99 and put the bad on in my den at home! Haven't told the DW yet either as the bill hasn't come in yet

No,,,unfortunatly it's not a dent,,,but a gouge. There are no pieces of it either that I could grind up and use for fill!
I'm thinking a little wood filler, some mighty fine sanding and a stain stick to match?

Mohawk a wood floor mfg makes a really neat wood filler kit that uses a butane iron to heat special putty sticks. Lasts a lot longer than putty. Same kit some coach and furniture mfg's use for touch up. Not the cheapest but will last for years of oopsies. Takes a bit to get the hang but once you do gouges are a thing of the past.

rv,,,, Thanks for the heads up! I'll see if any of our local flooring companies have it. I just thought of someone I know who use to do this as a sideline, I think I'm going to look him up.

I spoke with a local RV dealer and they gave me the name of a local flooring dealer that they use. They told me that they use them all the time and they do a real good job, they said that when they're finished I should hardly tell that the mark was there!
So come Tuesday morningI will be giving them a cal!
