Great Warranty Repair Service for our 2016 Fleetwood Excursion 33D
We just returned from Decatur, Indiana where we had about 12 items fixed under warranty. We couldn't be happier!
We arrived on Monday. We checked in, got passes to an area in the building with rest rooms, free washers and dryers and cable TV then set up our coach at one of the 50 AMP service spots in the very large paved coach parking areas in front. We took advantage of the free laundry and camped for the night.
On Tuesday a Service Coordinator and a Technician came out to the coach and we walked thru all the issues. I had previously emailed the list and they had all the items on their own list. The tech was very enthusiastic about getting it all done. I loved the attitude. Because the next two nights were forecast to go down to 22 degrees they agreed to keep the coach inside the service area if we were willing to go to a motel. Deal!
They took the coach into the shop about 11 AM on Tuesday and we checked in each day to see what progress was made. I learned from the handout they gave us at check in that they are also an authorized Freightliner Service location. We arranged to have the first year service done ...oil change, filters etc etc.
We got the coach back on Friday about 11 AM. That one tech spent full time on our coach for the 3 days they had it. He really knew what he was doing and liked his job.
One of our major issues was rattles and noises from the micro wave, under the dash on drivers side and screen door. In the 800 miles driving home we are happy to report the noises are gone!
The service building is brand new, has a great lounge area upstairs with PC workstation desks , multiple TVs with cable etc. The people are frendly and know what they are doing
We took advantage of the plant tour while there. The main Fleetwood, Monaco, American manufacturing plant is about 4 miles away from the Service location. This 2 hour walking tour was amazing and our host, Tom, was a great tour guide
We are very happy campers right now!

My sentiment exactly! If you live in South Eastern New England that is about your only option under the warranty. It will be worse and you will be angry and frustrated if you go to the dealership! And you may not have it back for summer camping, and it would have depreciated value by about a year! Lou Camp

We didn't even try the dealer. I called General RV near Tampa where we bought it and asked about an appointment. Oh, he said, we do warrant work on a first come first served basis. I said you must be kidding. He said, Oh no , it works great.
Its a shame that it has to be that way, but it is.
You have to schedule it far out in advance but the folks in Decatur know how to do it and are great to work with

Just picked up our coach from Decatur also. This was second time we have had coach there; both have been great experiences for us. First time was last fall for a wiring recall and a few other items, biggest being where I had scratched the paint. This time they had the coach for a bit. We had only known of a few minor problems and changes we wanted done. (Extra shelf in closet.) While fixing the minor items they discovered some other items needing fixed. They wound up finding more items to fix than we had found. Anyhow very pleased with things and I would highly recommend using them if you can. We did leave coach with them both times since we only live about an hour away. This second time it took a bit of time because they discovered water getting into the bays but only when driving on a wet road so weather delayed things a bit. Also they had to get the shelf made.
Anyhow driving the coach home I noticed the coach was quieter than I remember and I feel real good in knowing how they went over the coach with a fine tooth comb so to speak. (Some problems were found just because of a lose screw I was told.)
Good people there I've meet and they seem committed to doing things right.
Tom

All good to know, especially the Frieghtliner part. We go the end of July. We really don't have much but we wanted to get the things done we can. Our biggest problem in the shades. The two beside the bed do not work at all and one in the living room works when it wants to.
Now that I know they are a Freightliner service center maybe I can get the leaking PTO fixed that I have been putting off.
We plan to leave her there and come back, hopefully 3 weeks later. We have reservations for the eclipse.
