My 2003 Bounder got hammered by 3'' hail last week, have not heard from the insurance co yet, thinking the roof can only be repaired at the factor? Will they total it for roof damage.? Has anyone had a similar problem? Thanks Denny

In my experience, they only total a MH when the repairs exceed the replacement cost. As new as your coach is, I believe they will repair it.

I had a 2004 HR hail damage in 2007 $14,000 in damage, the roof, entry door, and all the bay doors on passenger side. Way not totaled it did take a lot of back and forth with the insurance company. They may total it if there is structural damage but not cosmetic.

Major RV dealers can do a roof replacement, but I'd take it to the factory in Decatur if I could. They do great work.

If it's just the roof you are in no danger of it being totaled. Would have to cost more to repair than the current market value minus the salvage value. And the salvage value isn't that high.

Gary
The factory in Decatur wanted $39,000.00 to make the repairs on my Bounder, The insurance Co has totaled it.

What's that roof made of? What was the damage?

Just curious.
