Has anyone changed their own shocks in your Bounder?

Has anyone changed their own shock in your Bounder?

Was it more/ less/ or the same "difficulty" as in your car or truck?

I have a 2006 Bounder and I think it is time to change them, ride is pretty rough.

Thanks !

Should be the same as a 2WD pick-up, only bigger.
Can you post a picture? B-in-L sold his 2005 W/H chassis so I don't have it for reference .
Only problem I had changing front shocks on my Freightliner , was, because of the size of the shocks , collapsing them against the gas charge to line up the mount bolts was a struggle. Rears , access was tight , working around the inside dual wheel .

I had to use an impact wrench to loosen the upper bolts, but that's the only difficulty I had.

We have a 2005 Fleetwood Bounder on a W20 Workhorse chassis. Original shocks were Bilsteins. I took a look at changing the shocks myself and decided not to since I would have had to work on my back under the coach, and frankly, I'm getting too old for that kind of entertainment. In addition, the replacement shocks are restrained so that they don't extend under the gas pressure and I'm not quite sure how to address that. On the other side, the local Workhorse shop wanted around $150 each for the shocks plus install labor. However, they agreed that if I would supply the shocks, they would do the install. I bought the replacement Bilsteins from the Shock Warehouse on line = Bilstein - KYB - Rancho - Monroe - Edelbrock Automotive Truck Shocks and Struts - Shockwarehouse.com - for a lot less, about $367 for 4, and the Workhorse guys did the install for around $150. Saved a lot of money and saved my knuckles too.

changed shocks today

I have a 1995 bounder and I changed my shocks today it took about 2 hours only because I had to keep getting different tools. The right front was probably the worst just because of the starter. I used a combination of end wrenches and my air rachet when I had room. Definitely not a hard process if yours is the same style as mine
