Heart interface 20 inverter 99 American Dream

I understand these were specially made for Fleetwood. I have one in my 99 American Dream. My question is are the modified sine wave or pure sine wave? I think they are MSW. Are these inverters safe to use on electronics like computers, etc.

The Heart Freedom 20 was found in many coaches, they are MSW, I've been using ours with computers and new LED/LCD tvs with no issues at all. The only thing I've found that doesn't like it is a heating pad with digital controls and auto shutoff.

I think you may need to be more specific. I have a Heart Freedom 20D (dual output) in my 1997 Holiday Rambler Endeavor ... original equipment. It is MSW. Some electronics are not happy with MSW. I have not had a problem ... your mileage may vary. In all likelihood, given your 1999 vintage, your inverter is MSW. Heart is now Xantrex.

Your coach has a unique product made for American Coach by Heart and called the Source Manager, but the Heart 20 inverter is one of its components. It is MSW and shares the same advanatges and disadvantages as any other MSW inverter. A few types of electronics will self-destruct on it. Your computer will be fine, but most electric blankets won't be and some older power tool chargers (wall warts) won't be. They may hum and are likely to get hot, so check anything of that sort before leaving it plugged in unattended.
