Hose under hood has water in it

99 southwind. Found this yesterday. Dumped water out and reattached it to front grill with zip ties. How do you keep rain out of it. It was full of rain water. Has anyone ever noticed thiers holding water?

NOT GOOD.. It looks like someone added that hose.

The original intake went straight down and had a flap over it to prevent water from getting into the air intake. It didn't work. Ford issued a TSB and replaced the intake with a "J" shaped tube that had a couple holes drilled in the low point to allow water to drain out.

The "J" tube isn't available. I used a flexible irrigation tube that has holes in it to allow water to drain.. This is what I did:

TSB air intake reduces water ingestion on F53 – 1999 Southwind 35S

You may want to check your air cleaner element for water damage now. Its in the can the hose goes to.
