Hot Water Tank Switch Location?

A relative of mine purchased a 2014 Bounder Classic with a bath and a half....He says his hot water tank only operates on LP.. I said he has not found where the Fleetwood folks have hidden the switches.... Any suggestions ?????

The Classic may have only a propane WH.

The brochure shows a direct spark ignition which may indicate propane only.

If is a propane only you could add one of these. Hott Rod Water Heater, Universal, 6 Gallon

I installed one and it works well, although it will probably voids the warranty. Also it would take a long time to start saving money on propane (118 dollars would buy a lot of propane). They come in different sizes for different tank sizes.

almost positive the electric hot water is a feature you get when moving up to the Bounder from the bounder classic.

On my 2014 33C it is under the sink. I open the door and found electric/propane/water switch and light switch.

Water Heater Switches

On our 2015 Bounder 35K the switches are located under the sink. There are two associated with the water heater; one for gas and one for electric; you can turn both on for faster recovery if desired or use one or the other. Believe that the 2014 and 2915 are identical on how they set these up.

As others have already said, the Bounder Classic has a 6 gallon, propane only, water heater. One of the several benefits of moving up from the Classic to the standard Bounder is that you get a 10 gallon gas/electric heater.

By the way, all the Classic models are gas, not diesel.

Yes they are and all new Bounder Diesels are FREDs as I understand it.

I just thought a picture of what the switches might look like might help.

They initially did have Fred diesels when the Classic was introduced. I'm not sure if it's still being offered.
