How do you use of space in front cabinet?

For all those late model Bounder owners out there who do not have a tv over the windsheild. How do you use or what do you store in that front middle cabinet over the dash? Fleetwood didnt supply any shelves so its just a big open empty space. Ive thought about adding shelves but for the time geing, it stores a large, tall space heater. Kind of worries me though as if it came open while under way, it might hurt a tad if it landed on someone. Give us your ideas!

In my coach, (not a Bounder), I use the space in every cabinet anyway I want to.
(There's no reason that you can't do the same in your Bounder).

My cabinets slide back and forth and I use them for my daughters mattress pump and her junk.... LOL

If you are worried about it opening it is fairly simple job to place a lock on it. One type would be the ones they have on glass jewelry cases in stores. Another option is a simple sliding door latch

On my Expedition, after I removed the ancient tube type TV. I cut down the front and bottom to match the cabinets on each side. Looks way better. My wife uses that space for photo's and other memorabilia.

No, I get it. Its just that this particular cabinet is not only large but it has an odd shape. Just thought some folks might have a couple specific uses for it or perhaps have divided it up in some way such as shelves to make it more useful. If you simply use the bottom of the cabinet, you leave the entire upper half useless.

I use it for paper towels, napkins, paper plates, my picnic table cloths, etc. I don't want anything heavy up there for just the reason you stated.

The TV which came with my Storm was removed before I bought the MH. The previous owner didn't find a suitable replacement TV so the opening was just that. An opening. I installed a wall mount bracket on the inside of the opening and hung a flat screen TV with built in DVD player on it. I push the TV against the opening and it looks like a factory installation. Swing it out and I have storage for my grandchildren's DVD collection. The DVD's are in a couple plastic containers marked with each kid's name on it. The containers stack on each other and are easily accessible.

You know all the stuff that collects in drawers in a s&b? That is what we have in that cabinet. We put shoe box size plastic boxes in there, stacked. One has instruction manuals for appliances; one has spare screws, nails, glue, etc; one has sewing and furniture repair type stuff, one has batteries... On top we throw hats, extra plugs and wires, etc. that we want put away when moving.

So essentially, anything.

I couldn't find anything that was ideally suited, soooo,
I put my camera bag (large) on the left side. Might want to be able to grab the camera quickly, right? (haven't so far though)
On the right side, I've got any and every piece of information received from Fleetwood, dealers, manufacturers in a accordion style bag.

I think Im going to add at least one shelf. That cabinet is at least 2' tall so when storing things on the bottom, its just empty space. If I had one big item it would be a nice place to store it but I dont. Actually I think its big enough to add 3-4 shelves. I also like the idea of some kind of stackable clear containers. It might make a great place for some kind of shoe storage! With it being near the front door maybe I could find some racks.

Sounds like a perfect place to store my Tailgator Satellite Antenna but I don't have a large cabinet overhead like that.

Like Sarah, & not just for the center cabinet, but for all 5 overhead cabinets in the cockpit, we store only soft items & also extra bedding for the sofa bed. I won't put anything in those cabinets that could hurt us should the doors pop open.
