I have a 2005 Fleetwood Discovery 39J that needs the right front surround sound speaker replaced, BUT I can't figure out how to get into the "cabinet" where the speaker is located. It has a cloth mesh covering and the mesh is secured from inside the opening... One would think there is an access panel, but if there is I can't find it! Any and all help is appreciated! Tanks!

Usually the front speakers covers are held in with Velcro. But, before getting all enthusiastic about replacing the speaker recheck the speaker connection at the amp.

Thanks, checked the connection, then used different wires and a new speaker to check the head unit... it works fine. Next step is to check the connection on the speaker in the cabinet... if that fails, then ????

My right rear speaker is accessed by a panel inside the cabinet. It has two screws. My left rear speaker does not have an obvious access point which is why I only changed the front speakers. If all else fails, find some matching fabric at Walmart and remove the existing fabric. You will then find the very cleverly hidden secret door. Or call customer care, they may be able to send you a print of the area.

The speaker cover is held on with velcro and a tight fit, pry it off. Call Fleetwood if you have doubts.

Have to remove the reading light on the speaker cover, then there is a single screw hidden by the light cover that secures the hinged panel. Once you swing up that hinged panel - voilla! The speaker is now accessible. Thanks to all who read and didn't have a potential solution and thanks to those who shared their ideas with me...

OK if theres a light on the cover it would have more than just velcro.
