Hydraulic Fluid Tank in Tradition front compartment

All,
Little embarrassed to ask this but here goes anyway. There is a small hydraulic tank in the driver side front compartment near where the switch is to open and close the front access area. Is that fluid for the jacks or for the front compartment mechanism. Do I add fluid there or is this part of the closed system for the jacks with the fluid tank in the rear of the coach. This is on my 2006 Tradition.

Thanks!

Doubt if it's the jacks - that was in the rear (adjacent to engine compartment) on my '04 Trad. If your front cap access is powered (mine was manual - tough!), it is probably for that.

Do you have Aqua Hot? What color is the fluid? How big is the tank?

Don't feel bad, My new to me 2008 Revolution has a tank there too and I have no idea what its for. My jack tank and motor is in the back, I know because it already took a crap.

I have a 2016 revolution and that tank is the washer fluid tank for the windshield wiper/washers.

Mine is the step cover also

Have someone close the step cover while you observe the pump running to confirm yours.

Yes, it is the front cap slide out. In fact, found this thread while looking to see if the pump is rebuildable. Mine quit yesterday and will be pulling it out this week.

It uses Dex lll/Merc tranny fluid that you fill at the reservoir itself. It’s independent from any of the other hydraulic systems.
