I am sooo perplexed!
Hope there is help out there. I am camping at a fairgrounds. My dometic toilet vacuum breaker keeps flipping. I have reset it under the wardrobe several times but keeps flipping so toilets won't empty! I have a 2012 bounder, 2 bathrooms. Tanks are empty. What is going on? No leaking, no other issues with anything. This is a first for me. No plugged toilet. Wish I wasn't out in the middle of nowhere! Can anyone help for one day until I can get home with what might be the problem?

So you are saying that the breaker for the toilet keeps tripping.
Not sure why you used the term "Vaccum".....except for the fact that you might be talking about a Macerator toilet. This has a motor inside that grinds the contents and sends it to the tanks. This is mainly used for toilets that are NOT abouve the holding tank.
My motorhome has two bathrooms, but only one macerator toilet...please confirm that you have two macerator toilets.
Also, there is a button on the operator panel which causes the toilet to fill with water. A big question is "When does the breaker trip?".
Does it only trip when you try to flush. How about when you try to fill.
Sounds strange that you would have a problem with TWO toilets at the same time....meaning the problem might be the breaker itself.
Or if you only have one toilet, the motor may be frozen.
Please provide more info.
Regards,
Dan

It sounds like a Vacu-flush system.
In a vacu-flush system there is one vacuum generator, mounted near the waste tank, for 2 toilets. It creates vacuum after the flush, for the next time.
The vacuum generator has a 12 volt motor that may have failed. Very often the bowls don't hold water or vacuum, due to a dirty seal, and run constantly. That can shorten the motors life.
Other then that there are vacuum switchs and control switchs wired in. There could be a short along anyone of them
You need someone familiar with Vacu-flush to trouble shoot it.

Sounds to me like the vacuum motor failed. Are you sure absolutely nothing got flushed besides toilet paper and human waste.

Yes, I think it's a vacu-flush system. It hasn't been running abnormally or anything. the green and red lights went off so I remembered a breaker small button under the wardrobe behind the drawers. I found it, pressed it and it reset and appeared fine and working. But mid day quit again and when I reset, it tried to reset but in seconds it is going off. Can anyone out there trouble shoot me through this? I'm pretty handy.

I don't have a macerator toilet. It's a SeaLand Vacuum Toilet. Dometic Vacuflush In both bathrooms. I have no idea how to get to the pump or vacuum tank. Nothing in these motorhomes is easily accessible! And without this Vacuum on, no water will go down at all.

Anything is possible, I am traveling with a visitor from Russia. How would I check for a plugged toilet? And would the breaker keep tripping if it was?

breaker shouldn't trip just due to a clog. There has to be a reason it is pulling enough amps to trip the breaker. I would think a shorted vacuum pump motor or switch. Could be a short in the wiring as well. Just curious, is the tank full?

The only troubleshooting would be to disconnect power to the motor. If it doesn't blow the breaker, then run temporary power to the motor and see if it runs. If it don't, most likely need a new motor, unless it is jammed.
In either case the pump needs to come out. There is a bolt connecting the motor to the diaghpram that can be removed to see if the motor runs. If the motor runs, there could be something in the pump chamber.
Google vacuflush for pictures and parts breakdowns.
Don't know where you are, but keep in mind, some marine stores stock the vacuflush parts.

I'm not sure where to find the motor for the vacuflush. Could this be a clue? I used the outside shower to wash my dog the evening it went out. The faucet is leaking from the handle, I don't use it very much so it's been leaking for a while I think. Only leaks if you turn the water on outside. Could it have shorted something out in that area?

I have read that some pumps are buried in storage compartments.
See if you can follow the 1,1/2 inch white hoses from under where the toilets sit. They go to the pump.
I have hosed down my pump, after a failed diaphram. ( yuc ) It didn't short out.

No, the Vacuflush motor is not near that faucet; it can be accessed through a small door in a storage bay on the passenger side. You may need a new breaker.

Just wondering if you have been doing any maintenance on the vacuflush and if you are holding the flush lever down for 3 seconds every time you flush. I'm thinking the bellows in the pump is getting clogged with debris. My coach did what yours is doing. I did the discharge hose cleaning procedure in the owners manual and the issue has not reoccurred. With the vacuflush if you don't hold the flush lever down for at least 3 seconds you don't cycle enough water thru the system to keep the vacuum generator from retaining solids.
I am attaching a copy of the Vacuflush manual for you hope it helps.

I honestly didn't know to keep the flush for 3 seconds. OK, so hubby went and bought a new breaker and changed it and it seems to be working perfectly and sounds back to normal on the vacuum timing and sounds. But I am going to order the maintenance kit recommended to have. Something to make sure we do. Do you advise to go through the system before we winterize or after we take it out in April? I am so lucky to have a forum to go to, this has been so helpful. Thanks so much.
