In-Dash Radio/DVD/GPS
We picked our new 2015 Expedition 38B about two weeks ago and it is a great unit. Just spent this past weekend in it for the maiden voyage. The only thing that I am having a problem with has been trying to find out what brand/model in-dash radio/dvd/gps unit our rig has. I have tried getting the info from the dealer, but no luck yet. Does anyone with the same unit know what brand/model these are? There are no names on the front and when turned on it just says Fleetwood RV. I do know that the GPS is the Rand/McNally TripMaker.
Thanks.

Pretty much guarantee it will be a Sony XAV model.

Fleetwood also uses pioneer. Check in your owners manual bag. There should be a separate manual for the radio. The one in our bounder is a pioneer and I added the navigation from pioneer, just plug and play.

Our Bounder 36E has a Pioneer also. How did you add navigation, mojoracing?

Thanks everyone for the replies. None of the Sony units match what my unit looks like. I have even contacted Fleetwood and they gave me a model number that I have tried to lookup online and have had no luck yet. I have manuals for all of the Sony electronics that are in the motorhome, but the in-dash unit.

Heard back again from Fleetwood and they sent me a copy of the actual manual. It is not a Sony or Pioneer, but something called a XiteSolutions Infotainment Center XSG2NA-X1S.

Look in your manual, they list the upgrades that are available including sirius and the gps. I think I found it on pioneers website as well. You just order the unit from pioneer or a local car stereo joint like I did and its a little box that they hid under the dash. It plugs right into the existing stereo and viola, you have an in dash gps unit! I can't remember what I paid. Somewhere between 300 and 500 if memory serves me correctly.

Do the GPS directions play over the radio speakers in the bedroom?

Yes they do. And I only know that because it was a little chilly and I had to run back and get a jacket while I was on 39 south. You know, the road was going straight, motorhome was going straight……….I ran back and as soon as I got to the bedroom it said exit in 200 feet! Had to go ten miles out of my way!!

In all seriousness, I would assume they do but all you have to do is use the fader on the stereo and set it to only play out of the front speakers if someone is trying to sleep.

Thanks
Just did that, looks like a simple upgrade. Website is also very helpful. That radio has more features than I can keep up with......

It is complicated. I don't like how low it is when I try to look at it when in navigation mode. I know it has a video out on the pioneer unit so I'm going to see if I can run that video out to the aux input on the backup camera. That way the I can switch the rear camera over to aux and the navigation display will be at eye level rather than having to look down.
