Run your generator whenever you what to..... just like the rest of us.
(If you can't use it while driving have them take it out and demand a refund of the thousands of dollars you paid for it).

BTW, did you interrupt their coffee break with your question?
(That, and asking a question, at most RV dealers pretty much guarantees you'll get a wrong answer)!

I think your service rep needs to go into the little room and sit for an extended spell flushing often, that's what I think.. He has a clear constipation issue.

MANY people run the generator so as to use the Roof A/C when driving,, I've done it myself when necessary or on the 1st of the month. *Run them every month).
