LBCU hard to see
My LBCU unit was mounted so low that I couldn't see all of it while driving. I built a small box that raised the unit up to the very bottom of the gage dials making it easy to see. I also relocated the 4-way switch to the top of the steering column just behind the steering wheel so it's easy to reach while driving. Thought some of you with the same problem might get some ideas.

Good mod, Sometimes we need to wonder if the manufacture of our coaches even think about the dash and controls or just stick them where ever they fit.
I actually got lucky and can see mine just fine and they put the switch where I can get to it without taking my eyes off the road. I still wonder if they gave it much thought though.

Mine is/was the same, too low. I did these:
Raised seat as high as possible, ok for my 6'2". I adjusted the backrest as far as possible forward but yet comfortable. I found I could recline the steering wheel down, working on that mechanism. I pulled the steering out towards me as much as possible. I reclined the steering more with washers on the mounting bracket.
Then I could see both the gauges and LBCU.
Then I mounted wedged spacers, wider by 1.5" at the bottom to 0" at top of the acc and brake pedals. These pedals are way too vertical and very uncomfortable driving.
Then I moved the LBCU 4 way switch to the left side near the gear selector so it is usable without reaching or looking for it.
I took an ergonomics class in college and did efficiency engineering at work.

LBCU is Light Bar Control Unit, it has all the malfunction idiot lights, turn signals, trip meters & engine functions, and access to any active trouble codes. It is a Freightliner electronic readout of everything that's going on with the engine & chassis. My biggest challenge was to learn enough about the layout of this unit so I could find information I wanted. Owner manual instructions were written by someone that knows the unit, but doesn't know how to put his knowledge into words ,instructions, that someone else that knows nothing about the unit, can easily understand.

I agree with the pedal positions. I trimmed a 2x4 to fit along the front of the pedals so I can place my heel on the 2x4 and the rest of my foot on the pedals. That's about the same 1 1/2" that you did and makes the foot position much more comfortable.

In addition I did not sand the wood blocks and left them course finished so my shoes do not slip off the pedals.
The bottom of the acc pedal spacer has a cupped retainer out of the same wood block so again my foot rests on it to reduce fatique.
I can drive many more hours now, but as I get older chose not to. Just get there more rested. All these things keep senoiritis away and me busy.
