I have an 03 Fleetwood Bounder Turbo diesel model 39z. The valve on the city water fill started leaking. I replaced it with a Plastic valve and now the water pump runs continuously. Is there anywhere I can find an exact replacement valve? It is the one labeled bypass valve.

Welcome odieyodie to irv2.
I'm going to move your question to the Fleetwood forum the Bounder forum section.
They should be able to help. Its best to post your question after this as a new thread which you will find tag in top upper left on forums.
When you add question to old thread you may have it lost in wrong forum.

Your valve has to be a two way valve pump will be on one outlet and city water on other, turning your handle will select which you want.

I'm not sure what's going on here, but the only reason your water pump is staying on is that the pressure switch that controls it sees a low pressure in the line. If you are not leaking water somewhere, it should stay off after the line is pressurized by the pump. Is your system purged of air? How long have you observed the pump running?

A new city inlet should be available at most any RV dealer - it is a common part and not unique to a Bounder. Not expensive either.

Both the valve and inlet are available from fleetwood. I ordered both as I had a problem with my city water inlet leaking.

The bypass valve should be used to fill the tank with the city inlet. If it's open, the pump will run constantly as it will just pump water around in a circle from the outlet to the inlet.

I will say that Fleetwood no longer offers the nice brass valve that came with the coach. What it does now offer is a $1.53 plastic bypass valve that I never took out of the bag. I'm sure lowes or someplace like that has a decent quality one. I'm glad it turns out with mine that only the inlet was bad...I think you can get the part at camping world or any rv dealer as the 1980 trailer parked next to me has the same city inlet.

If the valve is close...and the pump is still running you are down to two things, a pressure switch that is bad or a leak somewhere.
