When I did my lighting LED conversions I simply ran a wire out from the porch light connected step well light and installed an LED in the bottom of the handle. It shines up through the acrylic part of the handle - lighted! Very cool and cost me pretty much nothing.

Northwest RV Supply

google rv salvage

ITC (I think) makes the grab handles, they have replacements. Assist Handles Archives - ITC RV

Sometime in its past ownership the grab handle apparently was hit by something and it's cracked through in two places. Just the internals and the upper and lower attach points are holding it together. Grab it and it moves around quite a bit. Contacted AC and got the last one they had...........had to bite the bullet on this one. Maybe after I take the old one off I can try to super glue the acrylic back together again. Worth a try. IF it works I have a spare.

Thanks for the replies and especially the link to NW Supply.

Its all appreciated.

Hard for me to get my head around a coach that's worth more than 100k not spending 120 bucks on a new handle.
Handle was 10 years old, I'm sure the rest of coach looks great, why go cheap with another 10 year old used part.... plus the new one will be LED

I got one on Ebay, just took a little searching to get one that came close enough to the old holes.

I agreed with mackwrench and spent the 128. His reasoning made sense to me. Its enroute.

Good call,...and if that's your coach in your profile, a very nice looking A/C....I like the brown/black paint scheme!
Safe travels

Lighted Handles.. If you wish to add one or if yours is broken then see original post and others

If it just fails to light they come in two or three types

Type 1: INcandescent lamp in one end.. Replace bulb.

Type 2: (My OEM) LED but the series resistor was way way way too small so the LED burned out swiftly

Type 3: I put in a much larger (Series resistor and it has lasted many years)
