Locked out of Providence 42p

2014 Providence has locked us out twice now and we never locked it either time.
Some way it's doing it on it's own.
Any ideas whats going on or anybody else have this happen.

The latch on our Bonder is very easy to accidentally slide down into the lock position. The red latch is just below the door release handle and when you grab the handle your hand can push the lock downward. My daughter's boyfriend did this a couple times when he was exiting our motorhome. Fortunately, we keep a hide a key box hidden on the frame.

Locked out meaning you can't get in? Does the handle pull out if so its not locked its broke. If the handle doesn't pull out its locked.

Had it happen once when the coach was new. Took the door covering off and tightened up and lubed the "parts". So far so good.

Our grandson accidentally locked us out once. Luckily we had a spare set of keys in the toad and it was not locked. After that we keep a spare set in a magnet case stuck under the chassis on the frame.
