Howdy,
I have a responsiveness problem with my local Fleetwood dealer's parts department, and have decided to dump the frustrations and seek greener pastures. I'm looking for another dealer who provides online/mail order service for Fleetwood Class C factory parts. Can anybody recommend factory dealers who they've had good experience with? I live out in Ca, but I have no problem working with a parts dept anywhere in the US if they are responsive and reliable. I appreciate any leads you could provide!

I called Fleetwood about my 1996 Pace. They recommended Sullivan RV in Decatur, Indiana. The Fleetwood plant is close to Sullivan RV and this is one of there representatives. I can tell you I wish there were more businesses like this. I had problems with my Power Gear levelers. There Service Manager was fantastic trying to find parts for my system that was now obsolete. He was supposed to call me one morning and found out that morning he had to go pick up another unit somewhere. He called me while on the road to let me know what had happened and that he had not forgot me. Their prices are okay depending on what you need. If you give them the Model & Serial number they can get your Fleetwood parts. The other miscellaneous RV parts I shop around. And while I'm at it, (BUYER BEWARE) I had a very bad experience with RV TOY OULET out of CA. Of course in life what works for one doesn't always work for the next one. Good Luck let me know if it works out.

The Electric steps on our Pace stop working, so I started pricing a new one. I saw that RV TOYOUTLET had a step for $249.99. So I called to check and was told it was a generic replacement for the Kwikee brand, which cost considerably more. I was told it was identical to the Kwikee brand and that they had sold them and not had any complaints. So I ordered it and had it installed. I will say that in appearance it is identical to the Kwikee brand, I even measured the thickness of the metal it was made out of. If you put them side-by-side you couldn't tell which was which. The problem was that it would not return to the full retracted up position. If you helped it a little it would go up all the way. So I called the number on the installation book, it was no longer in service. I then tried calling RV TOYOUTLET could never get passed Voice Mail. I sent 2 requests via their Web Page contact us, no response. Found the company that manufactured the Step on line and contacted them. I was transferred to the VP who was on the road traveling. He explained that they had not manufactured this step for over 5 years. Something about some legal issue, not with the step but someone that bought and had a warehouse full of them and then filed bankruptcy or something to that effect. End result they did not provide Warranty, Parts or Technical service for the item. So after several weeks of trying to contact them, I finally contacted my credit card company and they had me file a dispute. I'm a saver and after sending 24 pages of Phone call records, E-mail and other sorted items was instructed to return the item. And them send them proof and they would remove the charges from my account.

Steve, I don't know if PPL MotorHomes is a Fleetwood factory dealer... they are RV consignment dealers... however, they have a terrific parts department with whom I have dealt several times and find them to be responsive and responsible. Try this link (RV parts) to see if they have what you need.

Sullivan's in Decatur is outstanding and reasonably priced as well. Obviously they can't do much if the Fleetwood wholesale price is high, but they always treated me fairly when we had a Southwind. If I needed something that was obscure or I didn't know its name, I could send a picture and they would figure it out!
