Magum Energy Remote display for inverter

I have a 2017 Holiday Rambler Vacationer 35K that I am having battery problems. My inverter is not charging the engine battery. Also I notice that the Magum display shows float. It used to change to different settings. I checked in the Battery box where all the fuses are and I can't see any problems there. I don't know how to change the settings on this magum display and I am thinking maybe I pushed the wrong button and now it is turned off to charge the engine battery. Does anyone have a owners manual for this display that tells how it works and how I can make changes?

You can download a manual from the Magnum Energy website.
You can even call the tech line and they will walk you thru the setup on your specific remote.

After finding the manual for the Magum I spent some time this morning reading it. I believe it was my mistake that it was not charging. I had the inverter turned off. You know things are so complicated these days and me being 83 doesn't help. I never grew up in the computer age. And also the little help you get at the dealer on the walk through doesn't get you ready for all the new fan-dangeled items. Everything used to be so simple. You had a switch that said on or off. I want to thank everyone for putting up with me and my questions. I don't know what I would do without you. Love you all and God Bless.

Your magnum likely has on/off selection for both inverter and charger function. Typically leave them both on. Each will enable or disable as appropriate with shore/genny power state.

That's what I have too...but I leave the inverter off if not going to use it.

I thought I had the problem solved but I went out again and went into the motor home and looked at the display and it said once again float and the batteries were not charging. I also did not have a green light that tells me it is on. I don't know at this point what is happening. I was hoping not to have to take to the dealer but now I don't know. I will once again pull the manual out and see what I can find. It is driving me nuts. The battery voltages showed 13+ for the coach batteries and 12+ for the engine battery. This morning when I thought I had it figured out they both showed a little over 14 Like they were being charged.

Call Magnum, the tech support there are awesome. You don't need a warranty to get help. They will help you go through your system and figure out the problem if there is one.

This is on a 2017 Holiday Rambler Vacationer 35K
I am hooked to a 20 amp from the house

I went out again this morning and checked all the settings on the Magnum ME-MR display. This is what they are set at.
AC in -15 amp
Search- 5 watt
Battery type- Flooded
Charge rate- 100%
LBCO- 11 VDC
VAC Drop- 80 vac
Power save- OFF
Equalize- OFF
Charger- Float
Power on- Normal
Any Ideas????
Doesn't appear to be charging the engine battery.
Last time engine battery was low the aux start switch would not work
I have checked all fuses and breakers in Battery Control panel.

Did it ever charge your chassis batteries when hooked to shore power? They don't all come from the factory with this abbility.
Also, if you have less than 8 house batteries, your 100% charge rate is too high. I would suggest you call Magnum to help you with setting the charger up.

Yes it did charge the engine battery and also the house batteries. The Charge rate of 100% is what it shows in the owners manual as a default. A couple of days ago I disconnected the power cable and ran the generator for a while to exercise it. Then when i hooked the power cable back up I noticed that it showed on both house batteries and also engine battery charging 14.1. Then about 1/2 house later I looked at it again and it had went into float and it appeared that the house batteries were being charged a little but not the engine battery. It seems to now be going into float more than it used too. It has got me puzzled.

Dig thru your remote setting and find the battery temperature sensor readings.

If the sensor fails, strange charging things, like cutting out the chassis battery, happen.

You could unplug it and it defaults to 77, as a test.

I e-mailed Magnum Tech. I got an e-mail from one of them and he told me to disconnect the AC power and then start the engine , I then should see a voltage increase on the voltage for the batteries for the coach. Also should see an increase in voltage on engine battery. Well I did that and I don't see an increase on the voltage for the coach but I do see increase of voltage for the engine battery. I then shut the engine off and started the generator, I see that the coach batteries are charging but not the engine battery. The tech said it is probably the solenoid. I do also notice that the Aux start switch does not work. Is this something I should take to the dealer for? When I opened the battery box I checked the fuse for the aux start. Also I see the solenoid in the box but it looks like it is hard to get to to change it out.
The way it is now if I am traveling the refrigerator is going to run the batteries down.

Do you see a large can looking solenoid with 'Big Boy' printed on it?
If so, it should be warm when plugged into shore power, or with the engine running.

It can be warm and still not pass any current thru the internal contacts.
