microwave fuse in 1999 American Dream (Sharp)

I was wondering if anyone knew how to get to the fuse that is supposably in the back of the Microwave. I think there are two long brass rods that have to be backed out to pull the unit off the wall, but do you have to do that to get to the fuse. I do not see it in the panel. Circut breaker is on and good. Thanks, J.R.

Have you searched on line for a manual for your Sharp Microwave to be sure of the fuse location? It would be frustrating to do all the work to pull it off the wall and find out it's in a different location. Also, did you plug something else in to the outlet that powers the microwave to be sure it isn't a bad outlet or a GFI? The way they wire 120 AC in these RVs is to put a GFI outlet in one location then daisy chain a second outlet to it so it also is GFI protected but can't be reset from that location.

When having a problem with my Sharpe Micro Wave I heard there was a fuse in the back.. Not true at least in the model I had. After taking unit down we disassembled the micro wave. Found NO Fuses any where. Mine was fried by a spike in line voltage when I wasn't using my Progressive protection. DUMB DUMB Mistake. We took it off the wall, what a pain in the backside. Sharpe is the only unit I've seen that uses two diagonal bolts that run through the cabinet to the wall behind the unit. Most units mount to the cabinet above the unit and have a back plate to hang it on. Safe travels ed
