Talked to a Prevost owner that tows a hummer. He pulled his add flap and after 30k miles NO stone damage.
I tossed my flap when I sold the Hydrolift about 10k miles ago. No stone damage so far. I still have the mud flaps behind the tires. I'd like to widen them by about 4 to 5 inches.

I replaced both of the front and rear flaps behind the wheels with ones that are 4" longer and took off the rear full width flap. I think it's all good now.
