Need Chassis battery OEM spec for 2006 Fleetwood Excursion 39s

I need to replace the two 12v chassis batteries. Can anyone tell me what the original battery number is. I bought it used and none of the books list the battery type. Not sure if what is currently installed is optimal. It is a Spartan Chassis. Cat C7 350hp engine.

Likely a group 31 battery. I bought two for our coach from NAPA a couple three months ago. Group 31 batteries are typically in the 850 to 950 CCA range.

I never concern myself with OEM batteries and always try and go one with better capacity, as long as they'll fit in there. Usually and if anything, it's pretty tight already, but possible for getting a little more height, sometimes.

(2) 12 volt, group 31, 950 CCA you can get them at most Freightliner authorized dealers for less than $100 each. Here in Jacksonville, Fl. they are 80 dollars plus core and tax

Chuck is correct! You can get some great deals at the heavy trucks parts counters. Shop around and let us know what you find on pricing.

If you swap them out yourself make ABSOLUTELY SURE you document each and every cable connected to those starting batteries. Too many posts here from people that missed a cable or ended up connecting just one incorrectly. Not fun when she won't crank!
