Need help with battery disconect

The house and chassis battery disconnects quit working, found the fuse bad. put in another 3 Amp fuse, and had smoke come from the lower left side of the board, before the fuse blew again . Does that sound like a bad board, maybe shorted out. Everything else works, that is fused from the board. Where to look??? Thank's

Smoke from a circuit board with only a 3 amp fuse , not good.
our going to have to hook up a, 3 amp. fused by pass, around the board to see if the circuit is shorted; to test the wiring and down stream relays and switches. Then a complete 12v disconnect of all batteries, before removing and repairing or replacing the board.

You may have a "Bug" in your system (in this case an insect) but anytime you see smoke.. It is NOT GOOD.

If all the rest of the fused stuff on the board is working, it should be alright to use it If I leave the disconnect fuse out shouldn't it. got a trip next month. Don't want to get in to it till I get back, Thinking it might need a new board.

If you have 12v power everywhere, else, you should have , then operating with the fuse out should be no problem.
