would it also be necessary to point the nipple for the dishwasher connection so the water flow from the dishwasher points downstream toward the tank. My thought is the pressure from the ejecting water might be strong enough to shoot all the way up and fill one of the sinks. Not sure what kind of pressure these things drain at but just thought if the drain was connected close enough to one of the sinks that this could happen.

I've always had gravity win out, unless there's a blockage downstream. It would be quieter to connect below the AAV, but many are plumbed at the drop below the trap, or in houses, right into the side of the garbage disposal. (not recommended in an RV).

Dishwasher drain connection

McKinley--your find was absolutely perfect! Here are a few pictures of the old and new pipe...obviously from the same manufacturer. Was a tight squeeze with the dishwasher inlet, but no kinks and no leaks.
