The new coach, 2005 Bounder 34F W22 didn't have any tool for wheel simulator removal...they are 19.5" wheels and the "dimpled lugs" appear to be 1 1/2" socket size...but does it turn like a lug nut or pull off? They look to be Dicor wheel simulators, not sure the model.

I've had simulators that do one or the other...

I have no documentation on the wheel simulators, have everything else...

Use a regular deep socket, better then the tool anyways. They come off like a lug nut. But be sure you get the right one. On my coach not all the dimpled ones unscrew.

There are two opposing "nuts" with three dimples each on all four wheel simulators...I hope they turn...

Steve, I ended up buying a 21 piece 3/4" drive ratchet set from Harbor Freight Saturday for $50...needed the set anyway and does the job on the wheel covers...1 5/8" is the size needed.

Sears/Craftsman had an ala carte set up...18" 3/4" drive slide bar, 1 5/8" socket and 8" extension (for the rears),but priced out at $80!

I liked the Northern Tool option better.

Anyone know what brand Simulator is on a 1996 Pace? I went to my local Goodyear shop to have a new tire mounted on the right front. The guy that usually does this work was off for some reason. I should have left and came back when he was there. But thought how hard is it to change this Tire (LT235/85R16)? The guy comes out with the Jack and a hand full of sockets. He's tapping on the wheel nuts. So I say look for the ones with dimples on them and they just pull off. He finds the ones that sound hollow and proceeds to find a socket that will fit. I say they don't come off that way. By now he already has the impact wrench connected to the socket saying yes they do and squeezes the trigger. Well you know the out come. Of course their solution is go ahead and replace it and give us the bill. So I said why don't you buy it, get the bill and call me when you have it. Well we don't know who to get them from. I know this isn't a Wal Mart item.

John

My last two RVs used Dicor wheel simulators, and I think the other major brand used is WheelMaster (can't find the mfr. site).

At this point you need to identify a symbol on the center hub simulator, usually can find the mfr. from that.
