New Bounder Sirius goes in and out.
Anyone had this issue. Not sure where they mounted this satellite but it constantly loses signal to the point that its not worth listening to

I would think it has something to do with the antenna. Maybe post on the tech forum and the techies might be able to help you. They helped me with ours when we had a class c and the overhang made it cut in and out.

I can't get the website open, otherwise I would send you a link. I remember reading about an update to solve this issue. I found it by going to Pioneer USA and entered the model number. Hope it works for you.

We couldn't get connected at all when we first subscribed to the service. I found the antenna to radio connection had come completely apart, or had never been plugged in. Maybe yours is loose.
I used some plastic tie wraps to make sure ours would not come apart again.

I have the avh-x3500bhs
Looks identical but not sure if it's the same. I don't even see where the USB port is for this unit. Do you have to take the face plate off?
Thanks for the help!! It is doing what that firmware appears to solve

We had a similar problem with our '12 Revolution. Last year Sirius would only work every other day, no kidding. This year it stopped working completely. Stopped at a radio shop along the way from Florida to South Carolina and they took out the old Sony system and put in a Pioneer 5000NEX. Not only has the Pioneer worked perfectly since, we found out the nav system can be set for different vehicle types as opposed to the Sony that just had a TomTom module built for a passenger car that got us into a couple tight places.
Sounds like your fix is easier if that new firmware works for you.

That is what I have. The update is not for our radio. Mine goes in and out but only rarely. Not sure where the antenna is. There is a USB input, it is on the back of the unit. You can pull the unit or perhaps reach it from under the dash and plug in an extension so you have the ability to plug in any usb accessory. Pioneer makes an optional I phone / iPod connection cable that you can connect and then have full access to your phone and apps. I had the navigation added and its great. There is one update out for this radio but unless you have an I phone 5 or a really new I pad touch you don't need it. Has anyone looked to see what kind of speakers we have hooked to this thing? Its a really good head unit but the should is marginal. I was thinking about adding a 400 watt pioneer amp for a hundred bucks if it already has pioneer speakers. If they're just junk speakers I would have to replace them too. The amp is kind of plug and play. Bt the way, don't try that other firmware update on our 3500's, it will crash your head unit and I doubt pioneer would cover it.

welll..
to make things more confusing after more driving I've come to realize sirius works fine if i'm facing south or west, but if I'm driving east or north it's lost signal more often than it works.
Sooo.. I'm guessing it has something to do with the position of the satellite on my unit combined with where I am in the world.
I need to figure that out though because I live wayyyy south so majority of my driving is north unless of course I'm coming home.. Maybe they make some kind of signal booster.
Pretty odd though as I have sirius in all of my vehicles and never had this issue.
