Dave, sorry, just now got back online. I was there at 8:15 and left about 10:15.

We found further damage, the awning color was actually on the galley slide topper, I hadn't seen it before and looked like it damaged it as well. Also, I didn't see it either, but the satellite cables were rooted up and over the base of the satellite dish too.

So a new satellite and galley slide topper added to the list. They are replacing the skylight over the shower, all the vents and seals...etc etc....We are at 8300.00 and rising today. National Interstate had approved all the damage repair estimates so far.

I can't believe the damage that thing did.

Texas Tom: Will do.

I was there long enough to see a new EDPM roof job on a big 5er that was just finished. That guy knows what he's doing, that's clear. The seams and all looked immaculate and he was finishing caulking. Looked good.

Richard is the roof guy there at CW and he was very patient with me and my blathering on about this and that and how important the coach is and he tolerated me very well....grin.

I'm going to get excited if this ever ends......

Wow Kent, sorry to hear that -
just got back online after our holiday ....
but would have recommended these guys in Mansfield --> RV Repair Dallas | Coach Specialists of Texas - Really nice facility there...

Surprised I didn't see you at Camping World,
I'm there so much they think I work there,
except I'm always having to pay them

They did a great job on the airbags, etc... I asked them to do - all for $39 install price!

re the awning issue, I was worried about winds too... so just had a friend make these so I can test them for tying down the awning...

they are long enough to reach the roller from the ground and I can quickly unhook them if it gets really rowdy...
going to plastidip the large rounded hook for over the awning roller and see how it works !

John keep us posted there. You probably did see me, I was in a big black shirt with gray shorts and sat in the waiting room from 8-9:30. My baby is out there now in the second bay down from the door out to the service parking area.

I decided with the Camping World warranty (10 years with the annual treatment) and the stores all over the country, and the insurance company kind of in a way actually 'preferred' working with Camping World (nothing I could prove, just a feeling) I stayed with CW.

I saw that big electric box for the awning switch on the Dometic 9100 and I don't like that very much. I was hoping a switch would be all I would see not a switch on a 4" box behind it attached to the wall. Ugh...well maybe that was just the way the show model was wired.....

Update:

Dropped the coach off Wednesday morning at 08:30. Met the tech and service lady and went through some items, including I want updates at least every other day.

So by noon today I heard back from them. I was told the rubber just got in for the roof and the service tech was pulled off of my coach yesterday to do two other slide toppers.

I understand there are things that come up that are more important, but when my coach is in there, its my priority to make it their priority. Grumble.

Anyway, she said they had everything removed from inside and had started drilling out the rivets along the railing. Since there will be no work on the weekend, she told me she would take pictures Monday and send them to me.

Its only been 2 days and I'm going stir crazy already.

I'm asking myself if I even should want to go see it or pictures of the work, it might make my OCD worse.

Chad the Manager is going to take pictures on the cell phone and send them to me.

Patience is a virtue I do not have much of when it comes to issues like this.

Thanks Dave, I'm trying.

Pictures of Katie's Coach under construction.

All the rubber roof has been removed and there was only slight water infiltration around the front air conditioner seal. No other water damage!

Camping World has to go back to the carrier for another price adjustment. In addition to a new galley slide topper, it seems the rivets in the transition/side that hold the rubber in place along the roof edges are not standard. Usually they are screws?

He will have to re-install rivets as well.

Anyone know about this? Are they usually screws?
