Unhappy Newbe here.

Just bought a used 2001 PierceArrow Fleetwood Venture. I've owned 5th wheels before but this is all new to me. My 5th. wheels never had an on board generator and many other differences. I'm in the process now of trying to figure out where everything is and how it works. The first thing that threw me was the main current disconnect over the door. Not sure if both have to be turned on at same time or even how to tell if they are on. I must not have done things right as now my two 6v batt. are dead. Anyway, I am hoping to find a member that owns one like mine that won't mind answering my questions. I hate to post a new question every time and bore everyone by doing so. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Welcome to the forum!! If your rig didn't come with manuals you can find them online sometimes - that might be the best way to figure it out.

You might be able to find something useful in here:

Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Maybe a "Pace Arrow"? Pierce Arrow was a pre-WW2 luxury car. Based on what the "Owner's Manual" for our '02 Georgetown was like, I wouldn't even bother to pay postage for someone to send me a freebie. That document "covered" every FR motor-home ever built and was so vague as to be totally useless. A waste of paper and ink, IMHO.

Welcome,
Your rig is likely very much the same as mine. You can turn either of the disconnect switches on or off at the same time. They control the chassis and house batteries independantly. You can tell what position the switch is in by seeing if you have 12v power to anything. If you don't have power (and everything else is working right) then the battery is in the disconnect position. I wouldn't worry about posting boring questions too much. Search first and if you don't find what you need then ask away.
