Yeah, World Friendship is the one I was referring to. I've helped a couple people diagnose theirs and found them to have failed on coaches only 3-4 years old. They are OK on function but no longevity at all.

I've never tried it, but yes you should probably be able to run off the converter/charger alone. Don't need to do that, though. If you aren't seeing at least 13.3v converter output with the battery connected, the converter is not putting out. Only three things can cause that: (1) no 120VAC power to the converter, (2) blown fuse in converter or (3) failed converter.

I think I found the problem. I was tracing the lines from the converter forward and noticed that the ground was attached to the frame rail within the first two feet. I quickly realized that this had never been tightened because it was completely corroded. It was connected to another ground cable going forward that I assumed was going to the coach batteries. Now I have between 13.5 to 14 volts at the house batteries when pluged in. My wife is taking it down to the lake this weekend to test it. Hopefully all will go well.
