I have a 2007 Fleetwood Terra LX 32K. I removed the old TV & put in a new Vizio Flat screen TV. The Flat screen filled the space except for about 2" per side. I took the trim piece around the old TV & added a piano hinge at the top, so I could always just slide the TV out for repair. I built a frame in the opening & mounted the tv on the frame with heavy duty valcro. Each side was cushsioned with foam pipe insulation for travel & possible movement. I also replaced the rear vision monitor, located under the TV with a new Voyager flat screen & made a cabinet to mount it, so it looked like it was built in & just not hanging.

When we removed the old CRT tv I took the oak trim surround from around the opening to a cabinet maker and had a door made to cover the opening. It is just a flat oak door stained to match. The cabinet that once housed the tv is now for storage. We have the tv on a table in the living area. If I should decide to mount it, it's a matter of installing the mount that I had purchased and putting the tv flat to the door that was made. The hinges are plenty stout and would cause no problem. We have our tv in the bedroom mounted this way and has been there now for four years.

05 fiesta tv changeover
Hi countrypair, Thanks for the post but my 05 is not up in the cabinet, it's down in the dash just above the doghouse. I have thought a lot as to how to change it over. I just thought someone with a simular rig might have a solution. Thanks again for the rply's/ paul

I also have a 05 Fiesta. I bought a 24" Samsung flat screen that has a pedestal base. After removing the CRT TV I made a wood base that fit under the pedestal. I had to cut out about 4" of the right side plastic dash, easy. Then I made 2 custom brackets out of L shaped aluminum and carefully attached to both sides of the TV and then to the dash for support (a must). Behind the TV I just cut a piece of hinged plywood as a cover so that area can be used for storage.
Big weight savings and much better reception.
But now I needed to get several cables to the TV from the cabinet above the driver where I keep the 5.1 BluRay Player/Amp. I used the black corrugated plastic wire loom dropped out of the hole the crappy built in (above driver/passenger) speakers I replaced also.
