ONAN Emerald Plus Generator Help

Hey there, I just purchased a 1993 Fleetwood Flair. It is in great shape and has the Original Onan Emerald Series Generator intact. When I bought it if fired up and worked great it has very little hours on it and the previous owner took great care of it. I took three trips in it this summer and never had to use it. When I came home from the last trip I tried to fire it up in the driveway just to test it out and it ran for a few seconds and stopped. When I tried to start it up again in cranks but does not engage. Any suggestions? I am new to the whole RV world and know very little about the generators so please put everything in simple terms if possible. Thanks in advance for any help I can get

Check your oil level first and top off.
If still won't start; shoot some gas in carb and try again.
If starts momentarily and quits, then you may have rubber gas lines going to the tank that should be replaced due to old age cracking.
You will need to drop tank and install new fuel line.

On mine inside the coach if you push the start button one direction it acts as a start button. If you push the other side with gen off it acts as a primer (also kill switch if running). Push the prime button and hold it down a few seconds, then repeat. See if the helps

Do you have at least half tank of gas. The generator will not run when the tank is lower that 1/4 tank.

Carburetor. We do them daily. Age as well as ethanol kills them. We get 25 carbs per one bad fuel line although fuel hoses can be bad on 20 year old coaches.
