Our new to us Terra 36T

Just picked up our new to us motorhome.a 2010 Terra 36t. Full body paint and Workhorse chassis.only 11k miles. Seems it could pass for a showroom model. Not a scratch even in the storage compartments. My only issue was to see 19..5 tires and wheels. A big surprise to me. Ride was OK on the 200 miles home some tail wagging the dog. Plenty of power. Do all Terra models come with 19.5s ?.they dealer just installed Kumo tires all around. With the great price we got I could afford to go to 22.5 but seems a real waist! Any opinions on the Terra ?. Thanks. Jeff

Nice coach. The up side on the 19.5 tire size is a spare can be carried, weight is not a issue, as in 22's they are heavy. I carry a spare although have never needed it. Some carry between frame rails or the hitch mount. In any case cheaper to buy when needed. Enjoy your coach and have safe travels.

Jeff,
congrats on your new coach,I too initially was disappointed finding 19.5s on our 35k terra. I have found the ride to be more than acceptable, especially after installing summo springs, front and rear. Like stated already, the cost of 19.5 tires will be an added delight, compared to 22.5. Also as already stated,I mounted a spare tire between the frame rails, behind the gas tank, had a marine canvas bag made, with zipper, made to put tire in,tucks nicely out of the way. I have been refining our unit since nov 2012,not only to suit our likes, but also to debug the QC issues. The longer we have it, the more we love it. I have been working diligently on sound proofing not only the cab area, but the whole coach, has really paid off,as the coach is 60% quieter than when it was new.Since I no longer build hot rods and custom trucks, the TERRA SS is now getting all my attention. Wish you nothing but good luck and safe travels in your new rig.

PS The safety steer is also a worth while investment .

Thanks for the advise and well wishes

I am looking at components to help the handling. The ride home was very fatiguing! Our first trip is in 2 weeks, I will look into steering supplements when we return. Thanks and safe travels to all
