Overhead windshield fans don't work

I have a 2000 Discovery with lots of electrical problems. The one I'd like to start with is the overhead windshield fans which have no power. I suppose it might be a fuse but without pulling every fuse in the coach, I don't know how else to check it. Any suggestions?

If you don't own one you need a decent volt/ohm meter which you can pick up at your local Lowe's or Home Depot.
With one of those you can check across you fuses for voltage without pulling them.

a test light will work as well. You just have to touch the end of the fuse to see if it lights. I like the light for fuses better, because you don't have to look away from the fuses. You can see the light come on without looking directly at it.

I had that very same problem and you will soon learn how many fuses there really are in a MH. Like the other posts, you will have to get a tester and start the process of elimination.

One other thing. I had to replace one of the fans, which was causing the fuse to blow. It was putting too much of a load on the fuse on high speed.

The fans run off the chassis batteries, so start you search with those fuses under the dash or in the front storage bays.

Your post leads me to believe you do not know which fuse cluster you need to check, if you don't the location of the fuse would really be the first thing you need to know to save time and headaches.
