I went on Fleetwood's website today and noticed that the Pace Arrow is no longer listed. Did Fleetwood ever announce anything?

High Plains,

Very interesting that when a product no longer sells for a true profit, it disappears like magic. Fleetwood is determined to survive and the discontinuation of Pace Arrow, the old flagship of Fleetwood Class A gassers, without as much as a wimper, is gone but will not be forgotten

Steve

The new owners of Fleetwood said they would be trimming the product line in the product line but never gave specifics. I'm don't think they officially dropped anything, but some models aren't being produced right now. Southwind and Pace were twins, as were Providence and Excursion, and one each disappeared. Bounder Diesel is also gone, while Expedition survives.

They never seem to announce specifics. Like Gary stated, they announced they were paring down their lines to eliminate redundancies & be more streamlined, but didn't go into detail. Only when the new models show up on the website do we know what survived & what didn't.

Thanks for the replies, I understand the business aspect, I was a little shocked to see that the Pace wasn't there.

There had been a message on Fleetwood's website under the Pace Arrow tab that said to look for a totally new 2012 Pace Arrow "coming soon".

It has just recently been removed (along with the entire Pace Arrow tab), so who knows what's going on at this point.

The Pace was almost as much as the Winnie Adventurer, price-wise (the highest $$ new gasser out there), so it should be interesting to see what they'll do with a new Pace or making the Southwind their flagship gasser in the future.

go6car,

Thanks for the info and hope that if New Pace Arrow transpires, it will knock our socks off!

I hear ya!

Reason I even knew any of that is because I kept logging back on to see if they had posted any info on it or pictures, etc., and then the whole thing just disappeared! Guess we'll all just have to wait and see!

I can imagine it's a difficult decision to make considering what brand to discontinue.

At the FMCA Rally in Perry last month there were some new Southwinds and I expect that FW will continue to build the Bounder gas.

After they removed it from the web site I e mailed them. They just said they were not manufacturing the Pace Arrow at this time. I think its my fault, had a Mercury Cougar-gone, got an Oldemobile-gone, have a Lincolin LS-gone, have a Pace Arrow-gone.
