I bought my rig (1999 36' Pace Arrow Vision) used and from the day I had it there were issues; the left turn signal and the back-up light are come how shorted together - that is, the under-dash relay fo both circuits activates when either one is switched on. The back-up TV flashes on and off with the turn signal and the turn signal comes on when I shift into reverse. I've chased wires until I'm nuts and can't find anything. Anyone else had this problem? Is there some common pinch-point that I'm over looking? I figure that it has to be somewhere up front because it activates the relays as opposed to a crossed connection at the lights themselves Help!

It sounds like you have several issues. If I'm reading this correctly, then your backup camera was obviously spliced into the turn signal power. And it sounds like someone might have been playing with the trailer wiring and may have crossed wires there too. I suggest going under the rear bumper and see what it spliced to what.

Well it's not that the camera is spliced in but that the monitor can be selected to only come on when the rig is shifted into reverse. When the left turn signal is active is also activates the back-up relay thus activates the monitor as though the vehicle was actually IN reverse intermittently. I'm thinking floating ground but everything seems to ohm out OK. Perplexed!
